Orlando Part I: Disney’s Art of Animation and Downtown Disney

Azka and Khalif had never watched the movie Cars until finished (they have not been able to watch one movie full version for straight two hours); but both of them are so in love with Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater – the main characters in that movie as I introduced them by the books that we read together. And when we planned to go to Walt Disney World Resort, it turns out that there is a resort that has a Cars theme in one of the resort, which is located at Disney’s Art of Animation (along with Lion King, Little Mermaid, and Finding Nemo theme). So, during our first night in Orlando, we went there just for sightseeing – we did not stay at the resort, but visitors are allowed to look around as long as we do not use the facilities there (swimming, etc.). After a long journey from New Bedford, they finally be able to look closer to their idol by the end of the day, it was one of their highlight in this trip!

After that, we went to Downtown Disney – where all the restaurants, dazzling entertainment and shopping center are located in.This fun-filled district includes Downtown Disney West Side, Downtown Disney Marketplace and Pleasure Island. We only strolled for 1 hour in the West Side and Marketplace; to visit Lego store, world’s largest Disney store and embrace the festive atmosphere in there.
