Presidents’ Day

In the third Monday of February, there’s a Federal holiday in United States to celebrated its first president birthday: George Washington – who actually birth date was on Feb 22-, it is usually called Presidents’ Day because beside Washington, there’s also Abraham Lincoln birthday on Feb 12. February is also known as a Black History Month – an annual observance in the United States (I think Canada and UK also observed this) for remembrance of important people and events in the history of the African diaspora.

Happy Presidents' Day!

As a historical city, New Bedford held so many activities dedicated for all ages to celebrate this two important events in the history – and it’s along with school vacation week too! So, it’s a very great timing to go out and learn something about US history + do some crafting projects! Check out Whaling Museum event’s calendar and NB Whaling National Park Service.  Many activities are FREE (some with regular admission in Whaling museum).
